2012 Pet Licenses are now available in the Clerk’s office. Spayed or neutered dogs-$22.20; Unspayed or non-neutered dogs $25.20; Cat Licenses are $21.00. Rabies vaccinations must be valid until 10/30/12. Late fee is $20.00 after March 31, 2012.

The Borough, in conjunction with the Camden County Department of Health, will be holding a free rabies clinic on Saturday, March 10, 2012, between 10:00 AM and 12 noon at the Harry Williams Senior Building.

Some form of the attached letter and check are circulating in our area. One of our residents brought this to our attention. The letter was addressed to the resident and accompanied by a very realistic looking check made payable to him. THIS IS A SCAM! Do not forward any money or attempt to deposit the check into your account. The letter and check have been turned over to the Detective Bureau within the Police Department. Please, if you receive something similar to this contact the Runnemede Police Detective Bureau at 856-939-0330, Extension 404.

TAX PAYMENT WINDOW

In order to better serve our residents, the Borough has installed a tax payment window in the police lobby. You will be able to access this window from the door directly facing the parking lot. This window will be open during the first ten days of the tax due date period only. Hours of operation will be from 9:00 AM until 12 noon, closed for lunch, and again from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. NO CASH, ONLY CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS WINDOW. Any other transactions will still be handled in the front office.

December 1 will be the last night that the borough will maintain evening hours. Runnemede residents have not utilized evening hours on the first Thursday of the month to warrant remaining open. All borough business should be conducted between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Runnemede was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 23, 1926. As of the Census of 2000, there were 8,533 people, 3,376 households and 2,275 families residing in the borough.

BE CLEAN, BE GREEN, BE A RECYCLING MACHINE…..OUR NEW SLOGAN!!!!!!!
On Sunday November 28th at the Runnemede Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade, the winner of The Recycling Slogan Contest was announced….Julie Mingle a 3rd grader from Downing School was our proud winner.

Her super slogan and dynamic drawing got her 1st place. Mayor Ginny Betteridge presented her with a $100.00 Savings Bond, a certificate and a T-shirt with Runnemede’s new Recycling Logo and Slogan for Cleans Communities.
All who were at the Tree Lighting and participated in the slogan contest received a T-shirt and certificate and other trinkets.
