The Department of Public Works of the Borough of Runnemede has implemented procedures to effectively collect trash and recyclables.
trash removal procedures:
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
1) All trash should be placed curb side before 6 AM.
2) Trash cannot be placed curb side prior to 24 hours before pick-up.
3) Empty Containers must be removed within 12 hours.
4) A limit of 5 bags/cans per collection.
5) A limit of 2 large items per household is imposed (Furniture, wooden cabinets, etc.)
6) Carpet pieces must be cut in 3 foot lengths and tied, no heavier than 50 lbs.
7) Do not mix yard waste or grass clippings in with your trash. Waste Management WILL NOT pick up your trash if it is mixed with grass and vegetation.
NOTE: You, the homeowner are responsible for the removal of construction debris whether you are doing the remodeling yourself or having a contractor do the work. The Road Department or Waste Management will not pick up construction debris.
The following items will be picked up by the Road Department: brush, metal scraps, etc.
For appliance pick-up, call 931-0646. Items must be at curb side. For the safety of our children, doors must be removed from all appliances.
