The Tax Assessor is responsible for establishing the assessed value of each property in the Borough of Runnemede. The assessed value of your property is multiplied by the tax rate to determine the annual tax levy, which is also your annual tax bill. The assessor’s office also has information to help veterans determine their eligibility for property tax exemptions. Additional information can be found on the New Jersey Division of Taxation's webpage by clicking here.
Property owners must file appeals by April 1st with the Camden County Board of Taxation. Appeals must be received at the Camden County Board of Taxation by the close of business (4:00 p.m.) on April 1st (not just postmarked). If an appeal is received after 4:00 p.m. on April 1st, the appeal will be dismissed with prejudice.

Municipalities undergoing a Reassessment or Revaluation have a May 1st deadline to file an appeal.
A revaluation is a program undertaken by a municipality to appraise all real property within the taxing district according to its full and fair value. A revaluation program seeks to spread the tax burden equitably within a municipality. Real property must be assessed at the same standard of value to ensure that every property owner is paying his or her fair share of the property tax.
A property assessment revaluation has been ordered by the Camden County Board of Taxation for the following municipalities:
Gloucester Township
Magnolia
RUNNEMEDE
Waterford
Woodlynne
Oaklyn
