“Community Cat” Ordinance for Feral Cats within the Borough of Runnemede

Ordinance #18-03 provides general regulations for the safe and sanitary conditions for cats. Moreover, it permits and regulates Community Cat Colonies within the Borough of Runnemede. Finally, the Ordinance allows for the trapping, neutering, vaccination and ear-tipping of community cats. Following this
process, they will be returned to the area where they were trapped. This Ordinance serves as a means of controlling the feral cat population and providing for the safety of feral cats and the community at large.

cat Notice in the photo (left) the tipping of the left ear. This is the sign of a cared for feral cat that has been spayed or neutered and vaccinated. Do not take to the pound, they have already been trapped and belong to a feral cat colony. The best help to give these cats is an outdoor shelter and food and water.
